I need help planning my southern cali trip in October for my kids’ birthday.?

My daughter is turning 5 & my son is turning 1 both in late October, Halloween weekend.
I’m planning to fly to Sacramento from PDX (southwest sale $59 1 way) & drive my way from there to Disneyland. I’m spending 1 day in sacramento, 2 nights in San Fran, 1 night in Reno and spend the rest of the week at Disneyland. My daughter love spongebob & dora so I want to take her to six flags marine world & great america. Is it worth it to check out both since my kids are so young? We’ve never been to any of those b4. Any suggestion on hotel, & car rentals would also be appreciated. Any recommendation on what I should do or where I should go or how to get the best deals? I’m on a budget and hoping won’t spent over $2000 for my trip. Thank you.

In my opionion that is just too much for a child of 5 to enjoy, the trip is too time consuming. Sitting in a back seat, with nothing to do for days at a time, is not a birthday reward, its a torture.
Chose 1 place, that involves the least amount of traveling, and let the child enjoy one fun day. Kids at that age, drain their energy quickly.
Thats my opionion, even when my kids were teens they tired of all the driving and although had fun on trips, would rather not do all that driving.After looking up the Marine world thing, one of those parks, two at the most might be fun, but the child is not old enough to do all that walking, then standing in long lines to do more than one park in a week!
