how can i make a remote control car?

i have loads of old ones and i want to make a small super fast car.and maybe even with a camera the will Connect to my laptop and be controlled by a fresh remote(the other ones don’t work well).i want to solder some stuff aswell sodoes anyone know a place in success, perth wa that i can buy solder and stuff?

It seems like you are interested more in the electronics/design aspect, when you say ‘building’. However, if you’re interest lies more only in racing them, you can always try hobby R/C cars, trucks (and even aeroplanes, if you get hooked!).
These are a ton of fun though they don’t involve circuit level assembly (it’s assembly at a higher level).
They run on small 5 to 10 CC engines, and can touch speeds of upto 50 KM/H. check out towerhobbies.com (to buy) and rcuniverse.com (to research).
