Please Help! I need to trade in my car.?

I’m 22 I have medical bills on my credit, I’ve had a car from pars cars which sucks for a year and 8 months. I’m upside down and I really need to do a trade in. Any advice on where to go and what to do? I’m in atlanta and I was thinking enterprise or carmax. I want to do it right this time and avoid things i’ve had to deal with this go round. BTW I have never been sent to the credit bureau. Do they look at overall credit or car credit. I need all the info I can get on getting the best car and price. Thanks!
Oh and doesn’t the payoff amount go on your loan even if your upside down?
I’m not worried about debt because i’m going to pay it just like the one I have they just gave me a lemon and i need to trade it in for a better car before mines stop working completely and i’m stuck with no car and a note. I have invested over $3000 in repairs already I don’t want to put anymore. $1500 down payment.

Don’t worry about the next car until you have figured out what to do with this car.

1. Call your bank and get a pay off amount. Do it today.

2. Take your car to CarMax and have them appraise it. They will give you a real cash offer in writing, good for 7 days.

3. Go online and get copies of all your credit reports. Print them out, sit at the kitchen table, and compare them to make sure they are accurate. You can dispute any errors, which needs to be done BEFORE you buy a new car.

4. Sit down with a sales person at CarMax and have them apply for a loan for you. Its all electronic and takes about 15 minutes. You will know what you can get approved for without having to buy anything.

If you are upside down in your loan, you will need cash to pay off the balance. Do you have money for a down payment? The bank wants to see you put some skin into the game.

Good luck. If it doesn’t work out, keep making payments on your current car until your financial deal gets better.
