At 20 years old, how much money should I have in the bank?

I am 20 years old and very very very fortunate because my mom makes my car payment, pays for most of my gas, my insurance, and my cell phone. I am responsible for my gym membership, food if I am eating out with someone, clothes, and other useless stuff I do not necessarily need.
I go to college full time and my tuition is free as long as my GPA is above a 3.0.
My question is, how much money should I have in my bank account at 20 years old? I make $130-$150 a week at my part time job and I decided that I am going to start depositing 60% of my weekly check into my savings account and 40% into my checking account. The money I deposit in my checking account is ALL I am allowing myself to spend and I am not allowed to touch the savings account money (even though the interest rate is next to nothing) I also invest $100 a month (from my savings) into a Roth IRA. I plan on investing more in the future when I have a career and heavier paychecks.

There is no single correct answer to how much you should have in the bank, because only some people will have started working at 16, and then wages vary greatly. If you can achieve your aim of saving 60%, you will be doing brilliantly, though I would suggest giving your mom some for her constant support. You are grown up now, and grown up people pay their own bills. And then you could work on saving 60% of what you have left. And see if you can find a savings account that will give you a better rate of interest than you describe.
