Do Kids Respond Well To Talking Bed Linen?

Bed Linen, you can never have too much of it can you! Can you? Well maybe you can, but even if we do have far too much bundled into the back of the wardrobe, it definitely comes in handy to have a spare set on standby. Children’s bed linen is especially important. Those unfortunate little accidents that happen during the night and involve us dragging ourselves out of bed at 4am to change the old bed linen into new bed linen prove that point straight away. And apart from that, getting the kids to bed in the first place is not always a straightforward task. But if the Thomas the Tank Engine pillow says that it’s time to go to sleep, then by George those peepers better be closed!

Of course there is absolute no scientific evidence to suggest that kids respond well to talking pillowcases, and they could actually be horribly traumatised by it, so do choose your children’s bed linen wisely. For example, Disney Princess = good Nightmare on Elm Street = bad . But what do we really want from our bed linen anyway? Durability certainly, and maybe the feeling of luxury is important too. While silk sheets might be the ideal choice, they’re not very practical for fitting out the whole household. Oh how I miss the Star Wars bed linen of my youth. Every night I literally slept in the warm cosy environment of the Ewok village from Return of the Jedi. Han was there, and Chewie and Leia… Damn you adulthood!

Kids are spoilt for choice, which is good for them frankly, because they are likely to thank you for it by having an ‘accident’ at an inappropriate time when you have to get up early for work the next day.
