Mattel recall – anyone else get just a generic e-mail from the company? On mine it negated to answer my Q?

and said that they would send an address label to me to return the Sarge toy.

It never mentioned the refund I requested and just said they would send me another car from the range. This is useless to me as my wee girl has them all as these are her favourite toys.

The helpline is always engaged..anyone managed to get their money back?

it took many attempts but i made it into the phone que then waited for about half an hour before talking to someone,lucky i get free national calls.

you let them know your name and address and which product codes you have that are affected,they then will send out a postage label and in my case a list of alternative products to choose from to the value of the items you have to return (you can select alternatives over the phone),once they receive the recalled items they will send out the replacement toys.

i know it’s a right pain as both my girls love Polly pocket but it’s best to be safe,couldn’t forgive myself if anything happened.

if you need some extra cash you can always send back old Polly pocket affected items that don’t get used,get a replacement and sell that on eBay.
