My Favorite Disney Babies

Speaking of Disney movies, some people especially those avid fans of animated classics might first think of the cute Disney babies that have made appearances over the years. To be frank, I’m a big fan of Disney animated classics. Here I would share with you some of my favorite Disney babies.

Baby Herman

Baby Herman is a fictional character who first appeared in the film Who Framed Roger Rabbit. A typical Roger/Baby Herman cartoon consists of Roger being given responsibility for Baby Herman’s well-being; Herman immediately begins crawling through a number of dangerous situations from which Roger must rescue him. In the process, Roger suffers extravagant injuries and humiliations reminiscent of those in classic Tex Avery cartoons. Despite his name, “Baby Herman” is actually a middle-aged, cigar-smoking toon. While filming “in character”, he speaks gibberish in a typical baby voice; off-camera, he has a loud, gruff voice.

Molly

Molly, Andy’s little sister from the first Toy Story movie.  Early on in the film, we see Molly playing with Mr. Potato, who doesn’t like her playing with him.  At the end of the film, we see a shot from inside the car, where Molly and her mother are listening to “Hakuna Matata”, a song from The Lion King. Molly looks in the side mirror and sees Buzz and Woody riding the RC car.

Cupid Babies

The third group of Disney babies are the Cupid babies seen in Fantasia. They were seen in the musical segment called “The Pastoral Symphony” which featured the music of Ludwig van Beethoven. This scene has a Greek mythology theme, with centaurs, pegasi, fawns, gods, Mount Olympus and other mythical creatures.
