Dodge Rampage Concept

Dodge Rampage Concept

$70.1

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The Dodge Rampage was a concept car created by Chrysler that shares a name with a previous production vehicle that was marketed in the early 1980s. The Rampage Concept was first introduced at the 2006 Chicago Auto Show. The Rampage is as wide as the current production model Dodge Ram and is larger than its 1980s predecessor. The Rampage was designed as a truck for people who arent into trucks. More of a nontraditional truck buyer, states exterior designer Scott Krugger. The Rampage Concept proposes up to a 5.7 L Hemi engine with Chryslers MultiDisplacement System; this engine is used in contemporary production vehicles such as the Dodge Ram and Dodge Charger. Like its namesake, the Rampage Concept uses frontwheel drive, unusual for a pickup truck. The Rampage has doublemuscle flared fenders and 22 in aluminum wheels. The Rampage (for being a truck) is very functional since it features the Stow n Go feature that all current Chrysler minivans feature, where the seats fold down flush with the cabin floor; this feature is a first for any Chrysler truck. Chrysler Vehicles

Chrysler Vehicles

$146.58

Vehicles built by the Chrysler Corporation are cars bearing the name Chrysler rather than one of their subsidiary companies (Dodge, Jeep, and Plymouth for examples). Most Chryslers have been luxury cars, with the exception of their 1970s European models which were developed by the Simca and Rootes divisions. The list below also includes vehicles manufactured in other countries and cars designed by other independent corporations that were rebranded for Chrysler. Chrysler Australia was the Australian division of Chrysler, and cars made by Chrysler Australia were sold mainly in their country of origin. The same goes for cars marked Europe and Canada. Many of the images of rebranded vehicles are actually pictures of the cars in their original, nonChrysler form. For many rebranded cars, the original version is similar enough (almost identical) to the Chrysler version, so the original cars are used instead. It is powered by Dodges 4.7L Magnum V8, mated to a multi speed electronic automatic transmission. The Dodge Polara is an automobile introduced in the United States for the 1960 model year as Dodges topoftheline fullsize car; after the introduction of the Dodge Custom 880 in 1962, the Polara nameplate designated a step below the best trimmed Dodge model. In its various forms, the Polara name was used by Dodge until 1973, when its position in Dodges lineup was replaced by the Dodge Monaco.1960 marked the first year that all Chrysler models, save the Imperial, used unibody construction. The 1960 Polara and other fullsized Dodges featured styling cues carried over from 1959 models, itself an evolution of Virgil Exners Forward Look cars introduced in 1957. The topofthe line Polara and Dodge Matador continued to ride on the 122inch 3,099 wheelbase of their predecessors, while a new lineup of still fullsized Dodge Darts rode on a shorter 118inch 2,997 mm wheelbase. The Polara was available as a 2door convertible, 2door hardtop coupe, 4door hardtop sedan, 4door hardtop station wagon, and conventional 4door sedan. Dodge St. Regis

Dodge St. Regis

$93.99

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The Dodge St. Regis is a fullsize Dodge automobile built from 1979 to 1981. The St. Regis was based on Chryslers rear wheel drive Rbody platform, itself based on a modified version of the circa 1971 Bbody design that provided the underpinnings for such cars as the Dodge Charger and the Chrysler Cordoba. Engines available included the 225 in (3.7 L) straight6 as well as the 318 and 360 in (5.2 and 5.9 L) V8s. The St. Regis name had originally been used on an uplevel trim package on the 1956 Chrysler New Yorker hardtop coupe, and again on the 197478 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham coupe. Offered only as a fourdoor sedan, the St. Regis was differentiated from its sister models, the Plymouth Gran Fury, Chrysler Newport, and Chrysler New Yorker by retractable, transparent plastic headlight covers (introduced a year earlier on the 1978 Dodge Magnum). Unfortunately for Chrysler, the new cars (like their 197478 predecessors) arrived at precisely the wrong time. Chrysler Pacifica (1999 Concept Vehicle)

$68.51

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The Chrysler Pacifica 1999 concept vehicle, not to be confused with the 20042008 Chrysler Pacifica crossover vehicle, was a concept luxury minivan built to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the minivan. The overall design of the Pacifica, was a cross between a minivan and a limousine, with the interior amenities of a private jet. The exterior was very similar to that of a Town Countrys, along with an LHS inspired front fascia and a raised roof, which included a skylight and overhead storage bins. It could seat up to six, with four front and rear captains chairs and foldout jump seats on each of the rear seats. The 2nd row seats featured power footrests as well. Another interesting feature was a golf bag rack in the trunk space that could hold up to four golf bags. The Pacifica minivan was truly a luxurious car, and it and the 2000 Chrysler Citadel concept car, inspired the 2004 crossover vehicle of the same name. Concept Vehicle

Concept Vehicle

$90.81

A concept vehicle or show vehicle is a car prototype made to showcase a concept, new styling, technology and more. They are often shown at motor shows to gauge customer reaction to new and radical designs which may or may not have a chance of being produced. General Motors designer Harley Earl is generally credited with inventing the concept, or show, car, and did much to popularize it through its traveling Motorama shows of the 1950s. Concept cars never go into production directly; in modern times all would have to undergo many changes before the design is finalized for the sake of practicality, safety and cost. A productionintent vehicle, as opposed to a concept vehicle, serves this purpose. Chrysler 180

Chrysler 180

$103.56

The Chrysler 180 was the base name for a series of large saloon cars produced by Chrysler Europe. Resulting from joining development efforts of Rootes Group and Simca, the car was produced from 1970 to 1975 in Poissy, France, and later in Chryslers subsidiary Barreiros factory in Spain. The Chrysler 180 was also the base for the mediumsized model built by Chrysler Australia, the Chrysler Centura. Depending on engine employed, the cars were marketed as Chrysler 160/180/2 litre, and since 1977 in France and rest of continental Europe as ChryslerSimca 1609/1610/2 litres. After the takeover of Chrysler Europe by PSA Peugeot Citron, the continental Europe models were renamed Talbot 1610/2 litres for 1979 and 1980 model years, after which the model was discontinued in Europe save for Spain, where a diesel model was sold until 1982. The large Chrysler fared quite poorly in the European markets. The replacement for the car was developed by Chrysler Europe under the codename C9 and was finally launched by PSA as the even more illfated Talbot Tagora. All models are exclusively equipped with automatic transmissions. Though no longer available in North America, Chrysler continues to use Chrysler Voyager nameplate in global markets, e.g., Mexico, Europe. Together with its nameplate variants, the Dodge Caravan, Chrysler Town Country, Plymouth Voyager and Volkswagen Routan, the Chrysler minivans have ranked as the 13th bestselling automotive nameplate worldwide, with over 12 million sold. The European Chrysler Voyager was first released in 1988, nearly identical to its American counterpart, the Plymouth Voyager; the only visual differences between the two were the head/taillights and grille. Besides the slightly different appearance, European Voyagers were sold with different engines, including diesel engines, which are popular in Europe; and the trim was different. Chrysler Nassau

$78.07

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Nassau is the name used by several vehicles made by Chrysler. The name was first used as a trim level in the mid1950s, denoting the highline coupe of the Chrysler Windsor series. More recently, two concepts by the manufacturer bear the Nassau nameplate. The first Chrysler Nassau concept was a styling exercise penned in 2000 by Chrysler designer Robert Hubbach. The resulting vehicle became a working model used by engineers and stylists to eventually create the 300 sedan, introduced in 2005. As with many recent models from Chrysler, very few exterior details were lost in the translation from concept car to production vehicle. One notable exterior difference between the Nassau and 300 are taillamps that wrap over the rear fenders, similar to the treatment on Cadillac CTS sport sedan. The 2000 Nassau styling mule is currently housed in the Walter P. Chrysler Museum. Chrysler Firepower Engine

The FirePower was Chryslers first V8 engine; prior Chrysler 8cylinders, dating to 1931, were inline eights. Introduced in the Fall of 1950 for the 1951 model year, the FirePower had hemispherical combustion chambers, leading some to refer to this engine as the early Hemi or Generation 1 hemi. It was replaced by the Chrysler RB engine in 1959, though a different version of the hemi heads would live again in the RBbased 426 Chrysler Hemi engine in 1964. Chrysler, Dodge (Red Ram), and DeSoto (FireDome) all built their own versions of this engine (but not Plymouth which stayed with polyhead engines). The Chrysler, Dodge, and DeSoto versions were all independent with almost no parts in common. There was no Plymouth hemi engine until the 1964 426. Dodge Mayfair

Dodge Mayfair

$81.25

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The Dodge Mayfair was an automobile built by Chrysler Corporation of Canada Ltd. This vehicle was produced solely for the Canadian market from 1953 to 1959. Its American equivalent was the Plymouth Belvedere. It was based on the Plymouth, a vehicle that Chrysler of Canada had been offering since 1935 and Chrysler in Detroit started offering in export markets in 1936. The Mayfair name first appeared as a 2door hardtop in the 1951 Dodge Regent series, just as the Belvedere appeared in the Cranbrook series. The 1952 Mayfair adopted the same paint scheme as the 1952 Belvedere with the roof color sweeping down onto the rear trunk. When the 1953 models were introduced, the Mayfair was again the hardtop in the Dodge Regent series. In April, 1953, though, Chrysler of Canada introduced a new, upscale series to do battle with the Chevrolet Bel Air and Pontiac Laurentian. Thus the D433 Dodge Mayfair was introduced in both hardtop and sedan models. (Contrary to published articles, the D433 series was not a wagon).
