whats the deal with volvos? where are they made, and are they good cars?

thinking of buying an older one just to do burnouts and stuff in, i heard they are really tough cars, and ive seen some crazy videos of them…are they what i just said? whats your opinion?

Made in sweden and yes the older ones are good.all the rear wheel drive cars are tough as hell ive seen 1,000,000 Km on a 89 740T and frequently see 500,000km or higher on the 240740 series.the front wheel drive 850s 70 up to 98 were alright but double the cost to maintain.99 and up are a pain in the butt because of thier new computer system and drive by wire causes a lag in take off.

Discovering Objects in Images and Videos. $115.71 This thesis presents a novel way of scene analysis in images and videos. Traditional scene analysis using object detection involves a lot of human labor for labeling the images, and also has the difficulty of handling a large number of objects categories. Our approach to scene analysis is unsupervised in nature. Given a video, we want to discover the objects of interest. No single labeled image is used to pretrain or initialize the system. Still, the system is able to discover the objects of interest. It works on a wide variety of videos and it can discover objects belonging to a large set of different categories. It works in crowded scenes with distracting background pattern and motion. It works in partial occlusions and total removal. The probabilistic framework consists of an appearance model and a motion model. The appearance model exploits the consistency of object parts in appearance across frames. The motion model exploits the motion continuity across frames. Together, they provide appearance and location estimates of the objects of interest. This framework provides a basis for higher level video content analysis tasks. Scene Interpretation in Images and Videos $109.93 Scene interpretation is a fundamental task in both computer vision and robotic systems. We deal with two important aspects of scene interpretation, they are scene reconstruction and scene recognition. Scene reconstruction is determining 3D positions of world points and retrieving camera poses from images. It has several applications such as virtual building editing, video augmentation; and planning and navigation in robotics. Among several approaches to modeling the scene, we deal with piecewise planar modeling due to several advantages. We propose a convex optimization based, approach for piecewise planar reconstruction. Scene recognition in robotics, specifically terrain scene recognition is one of the fundamental tasks of autonomous navigation. Navigable terrains are examples of planar scenes. It has applications in various domains such as advanced driver assistance systems, remote sensing, etc. Various sensing modalities such as ladars, lasers, accelerometers, stereo cameras, or combination of them are used in literature.
