Unless you work in Montana, you work in an “employment at will” state.
That means they can terminate you for any reason, or no reason at all.
In turn, you can resign for any reason, or no reason at all.
Yes, their policy is legal.

The characters enduring popularity led the Daily Telegraph to dub him Britains favourite alien. The Doctor, in his tenth incarnation, is currently played by David Tennant, who announced in late 2008 that he would leave the role in 2010. Matt Smith is scheduled to assume the role of the Eleventh Doctor in 2010. The Fighting Doctor $30.12 1912. Martin is also the author of The Snob: the Story of a Marriage; Tillie, the Mennonite Maid, The Crossways, etc. The story begins: Doctor Thorpe was taking a hasty dinner before his evening office hour, which of late had actually begun to be rather filled with patients, although the young physician was having a long, hard struggle among the rural Pennsylvania Dutch to overcome their prejudice against the modern method of dispensing with drugs in favor of sanitary living; not to mention the much deeper prejudice against a doctor who was a city stranger and who did not mind his own business, but went about trying to stir up the whole sleepy township with his howl for good roads and no graft. Also the rumor, spread abroad by his prying and loquacious, albeit loyal, housekeeper, of his tony ways and other eccentricities, such as his insisting upon his meals being served in the diningroom instead of the kitchen; his daily (not weekly) baths; his having the parlor shutters open on week days as well as Sundays; his motor runabout; his sleeping on a cot on the roof of the porch; these and other madnesses had served to intensify the local prejudice against a towner. Alvis Cars $70.1 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Alvis cars were produced by the manufacturer Alvis Car and Engineering Company Ltd of Coventry, United Kingdom from 1919 to 1967. The company also produced aeroengines and military vehicles, the latter continuing long after car production ceased. The original company, TG John and Co. Ltd., was founded in 1919. Its first products were stationary engines, carburettor bodies and motorscooters. The companys founder T.G. John was approached by Geoffrey de Freville with designs for a 4cylinder engine with aluminium pistons and pressure lubrication, unusual for the period. Some have suggested that de Freville proposed the name Alvis as a compound of the words aluminium and vis (meaning strength in Latin) although de Freville himself vigorously denied this theory. Perhaps the name was derived from the Norse mythological weaponsmith, Alvss, but the true origin is unknown. The first car model, the 10/30, using de Frevilles design was an instant success and set the reputation for quality and performance for which the company became famous.
