What would you do if your child (22) went to meet someone online in another state?

My sister met a guy online we live in TX and he lives in CA. My sister is 22 goes to college and lives at home. She does not pay for rent, or car insurance, she claims she doesn’t have enough money. Yet she buys a plane ticket, car rental and hotel to go to CA to meet her online boyfriend for a WEEK.

Right now my parents are pissed they feel they are being taken advantage of and think about my sisters safety in CA alone with someone online

How would you react?
She has a job but pays for college through, student loans that dont have to be paid back if she graduates with a 3.0 GPA
As a PARENT how would you feel

Well, I’d be pretty put off. If she’s able to find the money to afford that trip, well then I would make her start paying for the car insurance that she uses etc. My roof, my rules. I would also insist that he come here rather than her go there.

Is this the first time she’s gone to meet him? My parents would fly there and drag me back by the hair on my head… even at 22!
