Where is a good place to look for sturdy children’s bedroom furniture,I’m looking for a nursery & a big boy(6)

I decided to replace my son’s race car bed with a big boy bed either bunk bed or cute twin bed before doing the nursery so he doesn’t get jealous, I am not sure what is the best store to look at though? IKEA is fine for some of the decorating items but I refuse to have my son sleep on a flimsy floogtogen or whatever. I just want to make sure it doesn’t cost too much. I want to get a dark colored set for the nursery with a 3 in 1 style crib, any idea’s?????

As far as sturdy goes…I have really only seen good and sturdy beds that were home made. The only thing I can think of is to see if you have one of those stores in your town, which make the stuff, but dont finish it. So…we have one here called ‘naked wood’ and they make really good quality furniture, and you just stain it yourself whatever color you want.

Other than that, you’ll have to just spend a day window shopping I think, because even stores that occasionally have good beds, wont have them all the time. So you’ll want to check what everyone has in stock at the time ya know.
